Communicate to Your Team...

A PDF for you to share

We understand the importance of educating your teams on software updates. We feel this update is an important one to communicate to employee and manager level users within your organization. The Threads team has prepared an optional PDF that you can email to your team in advance of the October 22nd launch. You can download the PDF here. Threads will also be using our in app messaging system on launch day to show the updates that occurred to all users. Also, all of the help center articles will be updated by Monday October 22nd, to better assist your team should questions arise.

Mobile Optimization

You’ve been asking for it... And we’ve been listening!

The review list, graph view, employee profile and main navigation are all now designed and streamlined for mobile devices. This is just the start of a fully mobile version of Threads!

Enhanced Analytics

View trends over time instead of just the most recent scores.

The enhanced graph views allow you to view individuals, departments and the entire organization over time. The graph view is now available on the review list and profile, allowing you to utilize all the powerful pre-existing filters.

Graph views now available on the review list and the profile review list!

Anytime you access a review list, simply click on the “Graph View” toggle in the upper right.

Review statuses have also been updated to make it more clear where the review is at in its life-cycle. The introduction of the sub status will also be important as Threads rolls out more check-in options in the near future.

All of the current steps to move a review through a status are the same as before. We have just introduced a new parent status label. If a review is not accepted by the due date, the status will turn red and show which stage it is stuck in.

You will still be able to access the stages at the top of the review list, just in a new format.

Shout Out Enhancement

Giving employees the opportunity to directly recognize their peers.

The shout out enhancement gives employees the option of making positive feedback visible to the recipient.

The process of giving feedback has not changed.

The author of the feedback will have to double opt in, by selecting the eye next to the recipient name.

Before submitting, the author will then have to confirm that they want the recipient to see that feedback.

This feature has been trialed for 6 months and due to its great success will be available for everyone within Threads!

Our early adopters have had the following to say about this enhancement:

“I love the new feature of being able to make colleague comments viewable to that colleague.”

Employee User

51 - 200 Employees

“I like the new feature that makes feedback visible to others. It is nice to receive/give feedback throughout the year and not just at review time so situations can be addressed right away.”

Manager User

11 - 50 Employees

“It's great to be able to acknowledge my co-workers. I like the feature that they can see the comment if I want them to.”

As an admin and a manager, you can enable a new notification to allow you to monitor feedback that gets shared with employees. Here’s some more information about email settings: Admin Personal Email Notification. Manager Personal Email Notifications.

Improved Profile

Get to the most important information first.

The improved profile has been designed with both simplicity and mobile friendliness in mind. The content remains the same, but reorganized and with updated layouts. The new profile also allows room for some exciting new functionality coming to Threads soon!
